Children’s Ministry

Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14

Jesus values and loves children so much that He died for them. Jesus saw the big role children have in his Kingdom. Here at Kiama Anglican we want all children of all ages to come to know how loved and treasured they are by Jesus. Our ministry’s aim is to see children develop a personal relationship with Jesus and desire to follow Him. We love having children here at Kiama Anglican!

We provide a variety of ministries for children and their families on Sunday and throughout the week.

Children's Ministry includes:

10am Service

Kid's Church at the10am service has a number of groups which are designed to teach kids about God in a fun way. The children start by being in Church with their family where they get to hear a short children’s talk that introduces them to the themes of the lesson of the morning and then we all get to sing a fun Children’s song. Then the children leave and go down to the hall for some serious fun! Here the story is presented in a fun and educational way. We use children's Bibles, puppets, drama and felt stories to present the story and we sing some songs. We then split into age appropriate groups were we participate in activities and crafts relating to what they have just learnt. After craft time we regather for a fun interactive game and a prayer time about what we have just learnt in the morning lesson.

The Different groups are:

Toddler time

This is for children 18mths+. The children are involved in free play activities, play dough, a simple craft about the story and some munch and crunch time. There is always plenty of lovely helpers so you can feel comforted that your child is being well looked after

Twinkle stars (pre-schoolers 3 to 5years)

The children are involved in discussion about the story, do craft and play games. They also are involved in free play.

Shooting Stars (k to2)

The children have a time of learning, fun, craft and developing friendships. It includes activities such as games, craft and memory verses.

Blazers (yr 3 to 6)

This group meets up in the rooms behind the old rectory. Here they spend a chilled out time reading the Bible, praying, playing some cool games and being involved in activates that help them understand the Bible lesson.

Yr 7 to 8 Group

This group also meets in the rooms behind the old rectory. The emphasis is on encouraging the youth in growing their relationship with God through fellowship, reading the bible, games, discussion and prayer.
